it can only be done by chipping or using the JVC upgrade tool .. if there were a remote hack then the upgrade tool would not exist

Ok fair enough!
If I send mine to DVDchips will you be able to turn the macrovision off as well as make it auto region free, and will it play R1 discs automatically?
