As I have everything running through my VCR, has anyone come across a way to disable the macro on the Bush 2004/A (find the hidden engineers menu or via a firmware revision etc). I have trawled the internet but can only find hacks for earlier versions.

What is the real firmware rev. number ... it should be written in top of the flash memory IC .. If it is something like E1-DV4M-? you should downgrade it to E1-DV3-?? which is macrovision free and the only FW i found from the internet .These players should be CD-R uppgradable ... Is this the same player as Denver dvd-3??
