Does anyone know if this machine is capable of reading vcd`s and mp3`s on cd-r disks?

Hi, I used to have one of these things, it won`t play VCD`s or MP3 but it will play audio cd-r`s. Watch out for it freezing up when you play big discs, the one I had would not play The Terminator or The Matrix.
