does anyone know how to get my pioneer DV505 to play pc video disks? it already plays region 1&2 by puching in a code via the remote. If anyone can tell me how to get it to play pc video disks that would be great.

The laser`s on those machines are notorious for going out of alignment. Although technically the DV505 should play any copied VCD, if the laser is on it`s way out, it may stop playing copied discs or even audio CDs, but continue to play DVDs. We`ve also seen it the other way around, where copied discs and audio CDs played fine, but DVD playback went.
The laser could be changed, but it`d cost more than the value of the player :-)
Bin it! The DV-444 is a good step up from the DV505, you`ll be well impressed at the difference.

Press the following buttons on your remote 1: open/close ( tray needs to be open) 2: menu 3: 1 4: display 5: condition 6: 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2 and so on 7: enter 8: put disk in and play. 9:when you want to change regions repeat above.
