I downloaded DVDGenie, and set WinDVD to region1. But as soon as I close the window, it reverts back to region2. And the counter at the bottom is greyed out....is this normal? I have a Tiny PC running Windows Me (if that matters).

With the DVDgenie check if the DVD-ROM is RPC2... if so you will need a firmware patch...
