After enabling the hack code from this site, the dvd drawer wont open! Is there a way of reseting the machine, or have i incorrectly inputed the hack? Mail me please at elacosrukram[at]moc.liamtoh!

You can reset the machine by switching it on and holding down Play and Stop on the player for a few seconds until the language screen appears.

I purchased the machine from Colay above !!! I have already tried to reset it by holding down the Play and Stop buttons. After doing this i tried to open the drawer but when i press the open/close button it puts the player into standby mode !!! After pressing the play and stop buttons (to reset the machine) what should i do then ??

You need to turn the player on (the Samsung logo should appear on screen) then hold down Play and Stop on the front panel until the language select screen appears. This means the machine is reset.
Now select 1 for English (or whatever) with your remote and you should end up back at the logo screen.
Try and open the drawer. If it still won`t open (or if you can`t do any of the above) then there`s a problem with the player that`s unrelated to the hack (i.e. it was just a coincidence that it happened at the same time).

We have had some machines for repair which have this fault,sio far changing or reprogramming the eeprom cures this fault

Is re-programming the eeprom easy to do ie would i be able to do it at home. Do you think that resetting the machine (holding play/stop) will cure this problem and if not what should i do ?

Resetting the machine should automatically re-program the EEPROM with the default values. However, there may be some circumstances where it isn`t possible to do this.

I have tried holding play and stop at the same time and selecting 1 (english). This seems to work fine but when i come to press open/close to put a disk in, it still puts the machine to standby. I think that i will have to take it to a samsung dealer. Can anyone recomend anywhere in central london?
