Looking for region free hack for this player - please help :)

Have already tried -

pause,3,1,4,1,5,9
and
menu->setup->lock (then press 0 seven times)

Anyone have any other ideas?
or
am I doing the above wrong? :(

There Are two Listed Hacks for this Player

This One

Turn Player On
Using Remote Control Press 0 0 0 ( 0 )
Select 0 ( Zero) From On Screen Display

And This One

Turn Unit On Using The Remote Control (Not the Players Front Panel)
Using Remote Control Press Pause 3 1 4 1 5 9

Region Code Select Sceen Appears

Select 0 (Zero) For Region Free

NB You may need to Press Pause Again on the Remote Control to Store the New Region Code

I have managed to change the region on my DVD this afternoon . In order to apply the code you must ensure that there isn`t a disk in the DVD.

I have an October 2006 version of the LG DNX190UH and the two hacks mentioned do not work for me. Does anyone have an up to date one (or maybe I`m doing something very wrong!)???

Thre is mention elsewhere on the net that post September 2006 they may have changed.

I've just bought the LG DNX190UH made in October 2006 and guess what? None of the handset hacks work! :o The new Zoran chipset is to blame apparently.

Following a brief panic, I found the following procedure and it works!!

So if you are having problems, use the following. No NTSC judder either so the new chipset must have fixed it.

First you have to download linked file called "LG36868.IMG"

1. Then you have to burn this file to a blank CD

2. After burning, insert the CD into the DVD player and press play

3. Then the region management menu will be shown.

4. Input "0" to make it multi-region and then press the "pause" key by Remote Control.


And there you have it, one multi-region LG DNX190UH. Now start enjoying your DVD collection again :)

Cheers skinflint i`ve been sat in front of my DVD player pushing all kinds of codes for days now. Turns out all in vaine just followed your guide and hey presto, so ther will be know more cramps, and violence towards remotes in my house
