Checked out the site and see it costs about 60 quid but unclear if this is just a software mod. If only SW MOD why is it so expensive when the disc only costs 159 quid from the trade, "FININ also supply this?", suppliers and can be used for the "3 min" job multiple times. Called PAN:DVD. Can anyone advise either where to get this disc at a reasonable cost or a firm that is not asking me to pay a quarter the price of the machine.

Hmm how can I say this ..........

The Software mod is available elsewhere for £50 including return carriage .... the return carriage is £18.75 on this player so the actual cost of the mod is only £31.25 ... of course it costs £18.75 to get the player there so your total costs are £68.75 ... a cheaper option is a diy chip for around £25 .... find a site selling a diy mod for around £25 with online fitting instructions ... print them out and take them to your local TV engineer and ask for a price for fitting .. this may work out cheaper
