Page 1 of help needed with a matsui dvd 120

Hi, can anyone help please . My brother in law tried hack on his machine as follows .To open this region free On the player and not the remote: Hold eject stop and forward skip together and a menu will apear . I think he did it right I was not there at the time. He did not get an on screen menu but has managed to get a region 1 disc to work. Does this machine allow users to play different region discs a number of times before locking on to one region ? If this is the case should we try the hack again or a different one? Thanks.

Multi-Region Codes:
To region crack the Matsui DVD-120:
Turn on player with no disk in the drive.
Hold down STOP, OPEN/CLOSE and FFWD SKIP for a few seconds.
A hidden menu will appear on screen and you can then select the region using the remote control
