Here is the Hack

Open Disk Tray (Ensure it is Empty)
Close Disk Tray
Press TV / DVDR
Press Return
Press Display
Enter 8 8 8 0

Message Will Appear On Screen Saying Region Free

Let the Forum know if it works ...or not

i tryed and didnt work just turned the channels over

It is Supposed to be a Correct and Working Hack.

Perhaps it depends on Which Mode it is in when you Press the TV / DVDR Button

If it is in DVDR Mode and you press the TV / DVDR Button ..I presume it will go to TV Mode and then I would expect that any Button Press on the Remote would Obviously Change Channels.

Perhaps you should Ensure that when you press the TV / DVDR Button it switches to DVDR Mode before Trying to key the Numbers on the Remote.

Hi

I have tried this both ways described in TV mode and on DVD mode but all it does is take me to a settings screen on DVD mode and when I insert the numbers and I get a message `No Signal Found`

It does this in the section where I would normally drop down and select where I want to record from ie scart etc...

Any ideas on what else to do?

i have just purchased and installed my goodmans gdvd306r. i completed the initial set up, got it all tuned in etc and started trying my dvd`s.

i have found my player to already be region free without the need for a hack !!!!!!!!!!!!!

it plays region 1 and region 3 dvd`s aswell as the region 2 one`s.

have you tried playing other region dvd`s???
