Hi guys,

One last question, is the Samsung DVD-909 a good quality DVD Player?. How is it in comparison with the Sony DVP-NS300 Player? Does it play VCD burned in a computer? Please I need this information.

Thanks in advance
Carlos

It`s quite good, if a little old now (it was discontinued in 2000). It`s basically a 709 with a few additions such as a Jog/Shuttle dial and onboard DD decoding. It can easily be hacked for multi region and Macrovision removal via the remote, and supports PAL-50 conversion from NTSC discs, a useful feature for many people. One thing it *does not* do is play burned CD-Rs or CD-RWs, whether they are VCDs, audio CDs or anything else. It will only play pressed (original) CDs.

In terms of absolute picture quality, it`s no match for the Sony, but still good for a player of its price bracket.
