i have this dvd player brought it from britannia music £99 its region free and macro free it has played everything i have put in to it and also plays mp3`s it also has karaoke 2 mic inputs just would like to see what info i can get when the draw is open if you press menu it say sanyo revision ?? ?? not sure what that meens and also with the draw open yuo can input a 3 diget number it shows up as stars top left hand corner not sure what that is perhaps someone will know ? also can anyone tell me is there a remote hack for it who makes it and is it a clone of something eles

I`ve just received an REC 850 from britannia which they have told me is "unofficially multi-region", but it is clearly marked on the the rear as being a region two player. I don`t have any region one discs to try in the machine, just wondered if anyone elses player is labelled region two, and does it play region one?

it plays region 1 and the new codeing rce discs no problem

Is your player labelled as region 2? Also, sounds like the Britannia REC 850 is the same as an Amstrad DVD 850, can anyone confirm that?

Does the REC 850 play CDG karaoke disks? I am considering buying it from Britannia for £119.99, how good is it? (oh and where is the best place to buy Karaoke discs?)
