Any Way of removing regional coding from Goodmans GDVD125???

I need to take regional coding off a Goodmans GDVD125 for my mother. I can`t find a Remote Hack so I asume there is none, BUT what I`d like to know if it can be CHIPPED ???? Many Thanks for any help
