Have a look at this page ...some Acoustic Solution Hacks on it.....Although your Player is not listed quite often hacks works on many different models from the same Manufacturer

Try the Hacks on yours ...you never know.

Can you try this one again as is for the Technosonic DVD 204 ...which I read somewhere is a rebadged version of your player ( or Visa Versa)

Can you confirm this


Make sure no disk is in the drive.
-Press setup on your remote.
-Press next, prev, next, prev.
- Ver 1( or current region version) will appear in the top right hand corner of your TV screen.
-Press the left arrow key and change it to Ver 255 .
-Your player is now region-free!

Something I did find out for you is that the Acoustic Solutions DVD 204 is not actually made by Acoustic Solutions themselves ...it is made by someone else and rebadged under Licence ...I got this from Acoustic Solutions themselves...which is why the normal Acoustic hacks do not work.

They suggest calling Argos ...who they say is selling the player and asking them more about the player..even if you did not get it from Argos you can always blag em and tell them you did ....they would never know.

If you can at least get them to tell you the Actual Manufacturer then maybe the hack will be easier to locate ...if it exists

Acoustic Solutions also say the Argos number needed is the Technical Assistance Help Line on 0845 120 4364

Of course you could be lucky enough and they may just give you the Hack.

I will try that as it was bought from Argos. I actually screwed up as I thought it was already Multi region but for 20 pounds i guess i got what i deserved!

This takes the p*ss! My wife purchased this DVD player from Argos today (14th feb) because I wanted to get a MultiRegional and the catalogues states, "This player is MultiReginonal" Like Hell it is!.. it`s crap!, it wont even play the DVD-RW`s that I have and according to Argos "again in the catalogue" it will play dvd-/+ and dvd-/+rw`s!... RUBBISH!!! It`s going back Wednesdays morning!

This is what has happened!..

Argos have put in the new catalogue a Acoustic Solutions MultiRegional DVD Player model number AS628 with the catalogue code of: 533/4874 for £24.99, this is correct BUT when you order it you actualy GET the crappy Acoustic Solutions DVD-204 that they DO NOT sell anymore. This is due to the older more poop machine being coded with the new code in the warehouse.

I will get my xchanged for the right machine in the morning (wed 15th) and let people know what the REAL machine is like!

rossy888 I suggest that you check aswell that you have the correct model with what you ordered from them.

OK,

I took the crappy 204 back to Argos today and the manager said that the "Picture and Description for the AS628 was a miss-print, We are not allowed to sell this machine and the office did not have time to change the information in the catalogue"

So, what you get when you order the AS628 is just the 204! wrong model, wrong description and wrong picture!. You either have to keep the 204 or get your money back!

Now, I need the Multi Reg` hack code for my Proline 1100 :/
