Hi does anyone know of a multi-region hack for the Liteon LVW-5025 DVD Recorder/hard drive?

Just got a LVW-5025GHC+ as a replacement for an LVW-5026 from Argos - looks prettier - just hope it works better than it`s big brother.

Anyhoo, here is the hack for getting the player to region free setup:

Press the Setup button on your remote
Highlight the exit option but don`t select it
Now enter, 2, 9, 6, 0 on your remote
A new region code menu will appear
Set to region free
Now press Setup to exit and you should be set to rock :o)

I just bought the same machine and could do with a little advice, if you don`t mind?
Can you confirm how to upgrade the firmware - instructions on the Liteon site are poor to say the least. I downloaded the file LNJME018.DA8 and have burned to a CD-RW. Do I just insert it into the DVD Recorder and switch on? or is there more to it than that? I don`t want to somehow inadvertantly corrupt the existing software.

Any other advice you can offer from your experience would be greatly appreciated, or any pointers to useful sites/forums.
