Might anyone have the region free hack for the Philips DVDR7300H?

Hey Hackeroonie, ;)
this looks like my 8) posting to http://www.videohelp.com
Have you actually tried the hack?

Calpe
Found the hack on a search ....not tried it, just saw your request for it and popped it on here although it was not from the videohelp site as it would have your name on the post otherwise. :)

Calpe or Hackeroonie (or anyone else!),

Does this hack work? I`ve just ordered this DVD recorder and have got a stack of R1 DVDs!! Also, can anyone give me a review of it? The spec looks very impressive for the price...

Thanks

Z

Anyone knows if the hack disapears with a firmware upgrade?
Also, has anyone had freezing problems with this recorder? Mine has freezed twice, while finalising discs.

Regards,
Andre

Andre

I have had a DVDR725H and A DVDR80 both retained the hacks when upgraded. Never had to upgrade my DVDR7300H yet - but I dont anticipate any problems there.

Love my DVDR7300H just wish the remote layout was the same as the DVDR725H.
Only issues I have, is that sometimes my (NTL Cable) set top box does not get switched to the right channel when on an unatended timer recording.
Strange because it always switches correctly when the recorder is on.

Updated the firmware yesterday v. LR1F. All region free settings retained - no worries
