One for all remote codes

Crazy Dave (Harmless) posted this on Monday, 9th October 2000, 21:39

I have tried using the 1 for all 5 (URC-7550) on my dvp305e after following the instructions for both the new and old firmware - and to my dismay I can`t get it to work. So I then got hold of a 1 for all 6 (URC-7560) and again the same problem.
The only thing I can get the 1 for all 6 to do is the cold start, and that is by pressing AUD, followed by the MAGIC key until it flashes twice, then alternate between magic and stand-by.
Any suggestions?

I`ve got the One For All 5 and it`s a cantakerous bugger to say the least !

Have you tried their website http://www.oneforall.com ?

Similarly you can e-mail them at plehafo[at]moc.vbeu

The Macros are only any good on uncomplicated processes - I can`t teach it to do many new tricks, although I somehow managed to get it to do Videplus.

I bought it for a remoteless Sony VCR (SLV8UV) and it`s next to useless on that one !

You need to program one-for-all 6 CD key with device code 0121, then program any other key to perform function 079. Turn player on/off, press and hold together PLAY+STOP untill player asks to choose language. Choose language, then point one-for-all to your player and start pressing programmed key quickly. Usually after 4 or 5 times it displays ADJUST. Note, you have 3-5 seconds to load the disk, otherwise player will reset its state to normal.

You need not to perform cold start each time before remote hack, it is just to be sure that you perform it for the first time on a clean machine.

It works for me 100%. I bought the player 3 days ago.

It`s much easier to program the repeated 079 code as a macro. Then you simply press the key to assigned the macro to once and the tray will eject. This works without fail on my machine.
