Page 1 of Cyberhome dvr1600 ME All Region Hack

Hi Guys

There are quite a few folk having problems trying to get a hack for the above machine ,
the reason for this is that there are three versions and these are ZU ,MU,and the
ME. The hack below is for the ME. To find which version you have , look on the box
you got the machine in or on the label on the back of the machine. The ME is the
newer version and is being sold in the uk at the moment, i got mine from Asda.
I have not tried the hack on the two earlier versions, but it certainly works on my ME.

Turn On - Press Set Up and key in 8105 and a small window will pop up, on the
bottom line it says version with a 2 ( region 2 ) change this to 0 ( all region 0 ) and
press Setup and power off. Turn On and put in a region 1 ( or any other region ) disk
and Bingo away you go.

Dont suppose youe found a decent rewritable for it yet have you...
Ive tryd TDK+RW x4
TUFFDISC +RW x4
and......Ridisc -RW x2

and its naffed them all up...its cool that Dvd-rs work on it but bit peeved at it naffing up rewritables as thats why i bought the machine to rerecord tv programmes etc...Thanks for the hack matey!!!

:( Read your message re the Hack Code for CyberHome DVR1600ME and followed instructions. Got window in middle of screen showing details of DVR and at the bottom Region Code 2 - how do I change this to Region Code 0?

Hi, I have got the screen with region 2 on my tv. How do I change that to 0, the up and down arrows on my handset don`t give me access.

Have a look at this page ...there are posts near the bottom which should enable you to find the correct buttons to press once you have reached the Region change screen up

Hi, I went onto Videohelp.com and one of the hacks worked on my machine, it is:-

Setup
with remote 1,6,9,5,1,8
Hidden menu with region highlighted
with remote press 0 for multiregion
exit setup
power off then power on
play the dvd you want.

If anyone who uses this method has a region 4 to try in it can you please let me know if it works, because I only have region 1 & 2 but want to buy some region 4

do not have any region 4 so can`t help you with that.

did you have any trouble with the tv screen being "cut off" at the edges? have tried changing the tv shape but makes no difference

No, my tv picture was fine when I had hacked my recorder.
