I have just bought a Philips DVDR3305 and would be very grateful to hear from someone who can supply a hack.

I have bought one of these today, after owning a Cyberhome DVDR1600 for a couple of months, and hating it, I decided to take it back, pay the extra £40 and get the DVDR3305
Anyone got the region hack for this model ? and any other useful hacks and hits and tips for this model would be greatly appreciated.

Turn the player off (standby mode),
Turn it back on wait for "No Disc"
Press 0 0 0 9
Press "OK"
On the screen you can now see region and version info etc

Turn the player off (standby mode),
Turn it back on wait for "No Disc"
Press 0 0 8 6 0 0 0
Press "OK"

Now the player is now muliti region (Region 0)

(The last digit in the code is the region for example 0 0 8 6 0 0 2 is region 2)

This works with firmware version BT5 4. Not tried with the new firmware yet.

(as posted a couple of days ago!)

Brilliant, thanks for that, it works fantastic.
Mine has got the BT5.5 firmware, which apparently is the latest.

Anymore tips with this machine ?
Is it possible to do a macrovision hack on these ?
Regards
Sally

David Elm; Purchased this player 19th Oct 06. A few days ago used your `hack`. It worked brilliantly. Just hope it is not one of tose that then locks up the machine after some 25 `goes` !
This is third time have used `hack` from dvdreviewer and each has worked perfectly.
