Some movies/programmes received on my Sky digibox are recordable others are not but all can be timeshifted so they must all have a path to my HDD. What is going on ?

Perhaps they`re using a macro disable device such as the Sonel scart lead. I don`t subscribe to sky so can`t tell you for sure but I`m sure someone on here can.
