Can somebody please hep me with my toshiba MD 20FP1 tv/dvd combo region code....
Toshibas are set to one region only - there will be no need to select region on the machine. If it is made for the european market it should be manufactured set to region 2.
If you want to change the region or make it multi-region however then you will have to pay for it to be modified. (You will see from the notes at the top of the Hacks Forum page and the many enquiries on here regarding Toshiba that they can not be remote hacked)
Quote:
IMPORTANT: You CAN remote hack your PHILIPS player without paying the rip off fees demanded by chipping companies, click here for more info! Also Sonys, Toshibas, Panasonics and most JVCs cannot be hacked via the remote. A chipping company (and therefore payment of a fee) is necessary.
Who said you can not use your toshiba remote, to hack. Rubbish, just hacked SD-16VBSB

Good.
Perhaps you could post it on here for the benefit of everyone looking?

Dear Wiz
Do you know a hack for the Toshiba DVd Recorder & VCR D-VR25SB? I am desperate to watch some much loved US programs that are Region 1 DVDs. I would be grateful for any help.
Thanks

Folks
Check out this page for a list of Toshiba Hacks.

Although there are obviously some that can be hacked with the Remote as stated by the post from The Wiz..(but I did notice that The Wiz was very happy to critisise but not very forthcoming when asked to actually post the hack!).......Most cannot and require the services of a Chipping company...and they cost !
A google search will help you find them
Hope this helps you make your minds up as to your next course of action
