THE PROBLEM I`M HAVING IS THE HACK FOR THE 709 JUST GIVES ME A JUMBLE OF NUMBERS AND LETTERS ON THE DISPLAY OF THE DVD PLAYER ALTHOUGH I CAN GET THE COLD START FEATURE TO WORK ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRIECATED THNKS IN ADVANCE

Try to avoid using all capital letters. It looks like you`re shouting. Anyway, the 709 hack does work for the Sammy 511. Which Aiwa remote are you using? Are you trying the hack for the latest 709 firmware? You have to perform the hack straight after turning the machine on, before it says "no disk" on the display. Also make sure there is no disk in the tray. You`ll know the hack has worked because the disc tray will open the the display reads "adjust". One last point - the hack cannot be made permanent on the 511 and it does not disable macrovision.

i have a samsung 511 and have just bought a one for all 6 which i am trying to use with no success. nothing is appearing on the display panel of the dvd any ideas???????

when you get the 709 hack the dislay is on the 709 remote
i have been using awia remote rc-6as02 without sucsess
