RE: Request for Region free hack for JVC DRM1
This machine cannot be modified at all, and even newer JVC models (DRM10, DRMV1, etc) need a physical modification via a multiregion upgrades dealer, no built in or free hacks, sorry.
RE: Request for Region free hack for JVC DRM1
Has anyone used this site before? Looks like the domain has only been live for 12 months.
They seem to have a hack for the DRM10 but you`ll never know for sure unless you pay £2.75...!

Maybe we can have a whip round and get the code for the other members :p

No DRM10 is listed, and even if it was listed, it is IMPOSSIBLE to hack it with the supplied remote control......
RE: Request for Region free hack for JVC DRM1
My mate who was going to order a JVC DR M10EK recorder but did not get as they had run out, but he did buy a remote hack for it.
Has anybody heard or tried this hack?
1, Eject the disk tray using the remote control,
2, Press " 5"
3, Press " 7 "
4, Press " 9 "
5, Press " 2"
6, Now you can select the region required (1,2,3, etc) Use "0" to make it multiregion.
7, close the tray
RE: Request for Region free hack for JVC DRM1
Sorry, but total rubbish....
As posted many times - NO handset hacks for any JVC DVD recorder, regardless of model! It is PHYSICALLY impossible to mod a JVC DVD recorder without a firmware upgrade and service tools.
So fi your friend paid money for this "hack", hes been ripped off....

Out of curiosity I just tried that open tray, 5 ,7,9,2, number sequence hack on my DR-M10 & you are right it doesn`t work.
It did change the stations 4 times though. :)
There is someone on Ebay selling a multiregion hack for the DR_M10 for £9.99, it is a cd which alters the firmware.
