Hi, I bought the RED DVD player last xmas. Am also not able to play region 1 dvd`s. Please help by submitting hack code. Thanks! :D

Evening All,

Just picked up a RED DVD Model: 585408 from Sainsbury`s, tried the 2812 but nothing happened, are there any other suggestions?

Does anyone know if this is rebranded from another model that might work?

Any ideas would be gratefully accepted :)

Really sorry don`t know the answer but wondered if I could ask you guys if you were happy with the DVD player, is it any good, well made etc?

DVD player gives a great picture at 1080p output, NTSC, on SONY 1080p LCD. Upscaling is very impressive via HDMI compared to previous standard DVD player on SCART input. At £25 (£10 off) a remarkable quality of image. Compares to HiDef content from AppleTV at 1080p.

Region unlock process worked for me-model 585408, although nothing appears to change, the player works with region 1 discs.

I`ve just picked up the 585408 model and the `2812` hack does not work. I open the tray, type in the numbers press enter any number of times and nothing happens. I`ve tried it with R1 discs and I just keep getting the `wrong region` message.

I can only assume that a firmware upgrade on later models has negated this hack.

Anyone know any others?

I have also got the same Red DVD player and I have successfully made it multiregion I followed the sequence

Power ON
Open Drawer
keyin 2812
Close drawer

I think the secret is Do nothing else

Just to say I`ve tried the same thing with no result. Model number 585408

2812 from remote
press enter on remote
close from remote
power off from remote

when I powered it up it just gave me wrong region.

Try reading the message b4 yrs again, a bit more carefully this time.

My 585408 plays region 4 DVD no probs (as well as R2!). Haven`t tried others (e.g. Region 1), but no hack needed!

Best £25 I`ll spend this year. Excellent little box.

Does this Hack work for the Sainsbury`s Red HDMI DVD player (T652)?

Currently £25 at sainbury`s and upscales to hd 1080i

Or does anyone know where i can find this hack? as i have had no luck in finding a hack for this anywhere.
