Having just used the hack for region 1...It only plays black and white...any reason why and can anybody help...

The reason why it`s playing black and white is either because your TV can`t handle an NTSC (American) TV signal, or because you haven`t told the DVD player to convert the signal to PAL.
Try hooking up your 2000 to your TV`s RGB enabled SCART, and setting the DVD player to send out an RGB signal to your TV - should eliminate it.
The hack works, but you haven`t quite got your DVD player/TV player set up correctly - post here if you need any more help.

Thanks for helping me out ...it works fine. All i need to do now is get my PSONE chipped up..any idea`s????
