I assume you both mean the ability to copy for example an NTSC video to DVD. I can play both NTSC tapes and Region 1 DVD`s on the Bush but unable to copy. I also have a Philips DVDR70 Recorder, on this I can record from an NTSC tape using the input scart socket but it only records in B & W. Thanks, Derek.

This is getting odd! I also have the Bush DVH RS 02 and have no problem recording from NTSC tape to DVD and vice versa. Interestingly, when recording to DVD you end up with a NTSC disc, but the other way around the end product is a PAL tape. My problem, like the first two posters is that it will not play a region 1 encoded DVD. Region free NTSC is fine, but when I pop in a region 1, I get the error message: "Wrong region code. It is not possible to play this disc" and the DVD is automatically ejected. I don`t know how delanmo is able to play region 1s on this machine without a hack - perhaps there are 2 versions of this machine out there?
