1: Turn on the 610 from the front panel, Do NOT open the disc tray 2: On the 610 Remote, press the blue button, then play then 159, then 121212005255, then play then standby. 3: Enjoy multiregion viewing!
Please note, the buttons must be pressed quickly or the hack will not work. You should see the numbers 121212005255 on the front panel display briefly if the hack has been input correctly.

You have to type in codes as described but mightily quick! Two hands, numbers quick, numbers quick, and don`t spend any time looking at the display. The more times you do it, the quicker you get and eventually you can press them fast enough and if you can quickly look at the display the long line of digits DO display.
Advice is keep going and it will work.

I`ve tested this out today on my new (old) Philips DVDR610.
Important points to remember (and have already been said) that I will emphasize again.
Power On from front panel PRESS PLAY PRESS BLUE BUTTON enter numbers (fast fast fast) PRESS PLAY PRESS STANDBYE
works a treat & many thanks for posting originally.
No problems with playback of Region One. Full colour, full sound, and even better, cheeper DVD`s.

macrovisoin is easly beaten although not turned off no leads/chips needed email me if you still need info 820ti4dam[at]moc.oohay i can copy any and all discs

Why do want people to email you about this?? If you have the hack why not just share it with everyone in this forum ?
