Page 1 of Phillips 955 problems reading certain vcd movies but phillips 711 reads them

Hi,

I have weired problem my phillips 955 has problems reading certain cdr vcds no matter what type of disc i burn to but at the same time my phillips 711 reads them no problem i have also tested few phillips 955 and same problem i rang phillips up and told them about my problem they said i have to update my firmware i did to the 7.12 version and still no go my 711 phillips has also got the 7.12 firmware if any can share some light with me.

I also noticed that in mpeg dir of vcd, all the vcds that dont work are music01.dat were all the rest are avseq01.dat which work on the 955 model but then again why does the 711 play ( music01.dat ) & ( avseq01.dat ) them fine with the same firmware 7,12 and 955 doesn`t kinda strange.

I`m not sure but... Is 7.12 the right firmware to 955 players?? I can`t remember, but I thinks there`s another firmware "serie" up to 9.25 to these machines...
