PC HACKS

Does anybody here know if I can `hack` my DVD-ROM drive to play multi-region DVDs?

IAnd can anybody help me with my monitor? The displays too dark even with brightness and contrast on 100. I know this has nothing with DVDs, but it doesn`t help when viewing DVDs.

Thanks.

try

http://www.inmatrix.com/

and look for dvdgenie - this is software hack that handles the region selection and various other tweaks including picture contrast etc for most of the popular decoding engines - powerdvd, cinemaster etc

you may be able to solve your second question with the same product

Best course of action for anything related to monitors and stuff is a programme called PowerStrip. Very useful utility. It gives you short cuts (ie press CTRL-R for a certain res/refresh rate) to all sorts. Have a scope around a site called www.3dfiles.com for all sorts of stuff like that.
