Page 1 of Charlies Angels not playing on Wharfedale 750 ????

I have just bought Charlies Angels from the states, it is region 1, and when I try to play it on my `Wharfedale 750` it says "Can only play on a NON MODIFIED Region 1 machine!".
The machine is multi-region capable !!
Does Anyone know of a hack to get round this or do I need to send the DVD back to the states and wait for the region 2 version to come out!!

The wharfedale can be changed to a single region, you may have to change it to region 1 only instead of multiregion for it to play the disc, its how I got it working.

No it cant ... read the post it says Wharfedale 750 NOT 750S

The Wharfedale 750 can be put on a single region aswell, some of u are not good with the players and no need to chip the damn thing.

so how is it done then ?

I have been following the
forums for a while now but have not
entered any info until now.

I have an original wharfdale 750.
The one which does not play RCE disks
I recently got Charlies Angels (R1), and upon
booting, got the famous RCE logo of the
world.

To Play The film on the orig player do,
the following.

Insert Film and wait for the map to be displayed.
Once it is displayed press the stop button twice
(The player will go back to the DVD logo)

Now press and hold the button "Access"
While holding this button press the "A-B"
button.
A menu will then appear which says
Shuffle
Program
Normal
Normal is the standard DVD player mode.
Select Program.

Now enter T as 01 and C as 01. Then
move to the play icon.
Click play then sit back and watch the
film.
The T and C values are for the title and
chapter. If any body has the numbers for
all the extra`s. It would be nice to know them

I hope this will help you to watch any RCE
film, until the player is upgraded. I do
not own Patriot or other RCE films.

Hi Al,
Do not have the Charlie`s Angels DVD, but I hit the same problem with the 6th Day as it was coded in a similar way. Was close to returning the DVD but before doing so tried the hack that you suggested. It worked!!!
The only change that was required was in the T and C entered. Set T to 01 and C to All - the entire DVD played rather than just chapter 1.

If you upgrade the firmware then the DVD will work properly with menu`s etc
