I dont know if this will work but try this.
open tray place a region 1 in but dont close the tray yet. press 0,1,2,3 then play hope it works. if not just look around at other hacks. and keep trying one.

Hi I am considering buying the same model as you, and wondered if the kit is decent enough quality considering the price. Any ideas if Matrix will run OK on it, and did you manage to sort out the region hack for it. I am fairly new to DVD, apart from my PC version, and am still feeling my way amongst the mountain of DVD stuff. Thanks

Sorry to be unable to help, but I`m trying to find the hack for a friend. I don`t think theres any probs with it, (he`s not said anyway) but we still haven`t found a hack yet. Sorry again

Have just bought a matsui dvd 122 and the region hack is : switch on press menu press 1,6,7 you will then see display 1-6 for regions. press mute button in top right hand corner of remote and that will give you all regions. press exit your dvd player is now multi region worked on mine no problems I am working on the vcd hack.will post here if it works
