I have a pionner dv535. I just want to know which regions can this dvd equipment play. Is it a multi-region or not. Are there any process, by hardware or software to change regions or make it multi-region. How and where can i do that?

This DVD player by default is Region 2. To make it region free it needs to be chipped. This is the only way. Once chipped it will play all regions although on some R1 DVDs like X-Men u need to set the drive to R1 (this will not permantly set the player to R1).

I had my region changed by Pioneer themselves (I bought it as Region 2 then had it sent back to Pioneer). But there is a bloke on in this forum who has a site decated to selling chips and chipping DVD players. Try and find the thread.
