Does anyone know if this is supposed to be a Multi Region DVD/VHS player ? I have tried 4 region 1 discs on it and 1 works the other 4 dont.
So if anyone can shed some light on this !!!
If not multi region , is this a "Chip" job or is there a remote Hack avaliable, or will there ever be ?

DVD players are never multiregion from the factory but need to be modified (Hacked). So yours is not multiregion. However I do not have a hack for your player. Usually Toshibas use an upgrade CD but they have 1 model (SD43HK) which is remote hackable.

Just a bit strange that he played a region 1 disc. Any idea what that remote hack is for that other player ? and if i tried it on the SD24 you think it may "kill" it ?
Also this CD...any idea where i might get a hold of that ?

TOSHIBA SD-43HK HOME CINEMA MULTIREGION HACK
1. TURN ON THE DVD PLAYER WITHOUT ANY DISC 2. PRESS ENTER 3. PRESS 8-4-2-6-9 4. PRESS ENTER 5. PLAYER WILL TURN ITSELF OFF....IF NOT, TURN OFF MANUALLY 6. TURN PLAYER ON
For the CD I would not mess around with these a it could make your machine inoperable!

hey ive got the same toshiba sd-24
i tryed the hack for the SD-43HK and it doesnt work :(
anyone else managed yet??

I just got this machine from my local safeway for £169.99 . The hack did exactly as it said in the forum . GREAT !
