hello Theres know remote hack for the jvc. There is a region hack for it but you will have to open up the dvd player and cut a certain wire. The hack works great on my dvd player.

HELLO THE HACK IS AT www.twi.ch/~i7eberha/eng/codefree/cfjvc5xxeng.htm when you have cut the wire and code and pw ok appear unplug the dvd player for five minutes then plug in it should work then
