JMB 3000 DVD HACK Problems

I tryed the hack for the above player. It partly worked, it plays region 1 DVD`s but in black & white, and the quality doesn`t seem as good as region 2.

Can anybody help?

HAVE YOU SET THE COLOUR TO AUTO ?
