Hack Help Forum
When delivery improves, I am hoping to get a Panasonic E50. My problem is that depending on where you order it, the cost of "Mulit-regionalising" it varies. Techtronics.com charge an additional £10, Panasonic showrooms charge £20 and our local Sevenoaks charge £30.00
The total cost at all of them comes in around the £300 mark.
Does anyone know if there is actually a difference in what you get? Techtronics site mentions RCE and the ability to skip FBI warnings along with the usual region compatibility and seem to suggest that an additional "Enhancer Scart" could be worth buying.

RE: Which Hack? (Panasonic E50)
On Thursday I bought a Pioneer 3100 DVD recorder and the `enhancer scart` from Techtronics on the basis that the lead would enable me to copy R2 DVD`s. On Friday after trying 3 leads (using a Pioneer 360 DVD player), I gave up and returned the 3100 for a refund !
I only have relatively few R2 DVD`s and surprise, surprise - it does not work with all R2 discs. I tested several R2 DVD`s and was able to use the lead to record Oceans Eleven/Gangs of New York/Erin Brokovich, but it would not work with Ice Age/Kylie Live/James - Getting away with it live.
I will be interested to hear from anybody else who has tried the Techtronics `enhancer scart`.
David.
