try this guys, worked for me
1. Open the DVD tray, be sure to be in stop mode 2. Now press SETUP KEY 3. Now press NEXT , PREV , NEXT , PREV 4. On screen you will see VERSION 2 5. Select 255 for Region Free using arrow keys 6. Press Setup Key to save settings

if you play around with the settings ie ver 5000 5001 etc, you can also play SVCD/VCD, now my player is superb.........

Help! I put in the code to paly multi region and vcd, but when i play a vcd the picture becomes distorted but the sound is fine. I use Nero to create the vcd`s so i don`t know if this is the problem.
What do you guys use to make your vcd`s or what guides have you used that have worked.
