Still searching for SANYO DC-TS 760 multiregion hack...

Mr.Nobody (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 23rd December 2003, 14:55

Hi
I`m searching for multiregion hack for my Sanyo DC-TS 760. Can anyone help me?
Found one at:
http://www.bigblack.org.uk/files/DVDSL20/DVDSL20.zip
but it`s not working with my dc-ts760 (maybe it for dc-ts750)
I still don`t have the cd volume name, without it dvd player does not recognize disc,
only display message "No Play"...
Maybe anybody can send me ISO image of correct cd format ?
If you can help me , please e-mail me at xuiradjd[at]tl.ifled
Thanks
P.S. Merry Christmas everyone :)

I`ve just bought this DVD receiver myself. Great system, pity that there`s no straight-forward multiregion hack :(

Let me know if you guys find anything on this, I`ll do some searching myself.

Cheers
DB

It appears that there are two different files that apply a `software patch` to enable multi-region on this player.

DVDSL202.san or DVDSL20.san
(Which one depends on your model or firmware I believe)

The relevant `.san` file is burnt to the root of a CD-R/CD-RW using MODE 2/XA.

I am trying to find out what the CD VOLUME NAME needs to be labelled as ??
Without this the hack seems un-usable as it reports `NO PLAY`

The guys here have had some joy with multiregion:

If anyone does succeed with the different methods please let us all know exactly what you did so that the rest of us can enjoy the delights of multi-region capability.

Thankz
DB

Hi,

Are this files really for the ts 760? I tried to burn ISO with 2/XA mode but "No Play" is shown.

Are you able to describe the procedure exactly?
