Page 1 of HELP multi-region needed for JVC XV-N33SL URGENT

My husband has bought the children Region 1 DVDs for christmas thinking our new DVD player was already multi-region.
Please can anyone tell me is it possible to decode or chip the machine?
If so how? or Where can it be done?
