Does anybody know of a handset hack for this machine to play region 1. I do not want to have it chipped. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

There are no hacks for the Sony DVD players
ALL Sony DVD players new and old require a chip. This is pretty unlikely to change either.
Try someone like tectronics or av-store for a sony mod
