Hi all :D
Right i`ve worked this out myself lol
(all buttons on remote) 1 Press DVD/TV button 2 Press the DVD function 3 Press open 4 Press stop 5 Press display Now you get the firmware version number (i think) and below it the region number on screen, now is this the start of a way to change it or just an information screen. Any help would be appreciated, so for those who would kindly take a look here is a link to a couple of screenshots. After you click on "screenshots" the first pic is what you get pressing the above buttons and the second is just the setup page which i have included in case anyone can identify the chip etc. Link is here mysite.freeserve.com/bingbonguk Thanks in advance for any help :D

Have you tried the Roadstar TVD1437 hacks on this site? Mainly the 1369 hack.

Yes i have PARIS, and every Bush, Alba and Goodmans hack i can find. But no luck with any :( ty anyway. I wonder if anyone can tell me if the setup menu is different to earlier versions of this unit?

stabbing in dark. Let us know. This unit can be hacked. 1. Open the DVD tray, be sure to be in stop mode 2. Now press SETUP KEY 3. Now press NEXT , PREV , NEXT , PREV 4. On screen you will see VER 2 5. Select 255 for Region Free 6. Press Setup Key to save settings

Thanks for trying PARIS but all that does is scroll from tv type to tv display on the setup menu with no visible results. Just to check, for NEXT i pressed >>I and for PREV i pressed I<<, tried it slow and fast lol. BTW i appreciate the help :D

Post your results.
put in dvd mode open tray press setup press menu arrows in this order: right, left, down, up press display region screen will appear. enter region (000) switch off powerswitch back on

Hi PARIS, don`t know if anybody told you lately but your a bloody GENIUS :D It worked press DVD/TV press DVD open tray press setup press menu arrows: right, left, down, up press display At this point the region screen appears as i had before, but this time the current region setting is highlighted. press 0: the word ALL now appears( 1 for region 1 etc) press enter player is now region free Tyvm PARIS.
