How can I hack Philips(Magnavox) DVD 400 AV02 model player 1 region?

I have Philips(Magnavox) DVD 400 AV02 model player 1 region. This model is about 2 years old. What do you think ? Does this (Philips 750 Hack)work for this model ? Can its firmware be upgradeble? What version? What else can be done with this model?
