If so, will someone who has bought one tell me if it has the same specifications. (same hack) i.e. Multi region, Macro off, MP3 etc.

try the following
1. Press the Setup button on your remote control 2. Press the Title button on your remote control 3. Press the Step button on your remote control 4. Press the Next button on your remote control 5. Using the Up and Down buttons on your remote, select the region of your choice or Bypass for region free 6. Save and then Exit the menu
