ok all you ENCORE owners here is a hack code to dissable macrovision for the encore dvd player no more flashing back and forwarding 590419 ....... enjoy lawlesskfd.............

omigod !
It wasn`t me that found that hack incidentally, some very shy posting person who went very quiet when asked how he found it !!!
Top marks to him tho` so no-one else has to go through the kitten thing that I did using the flashback and fore method !!!
Website will be running by weekend - virtually all but done now !

The hack: Came from.....well that would be telling :-)) But you may want to have a link to http://www.nerd-out.com/ and keep your eye on the sampo forum. For not replying: My money would be on that the person got diverted with Xmas coming up and having a software release deadline in his real job :-) (Meaning he didn`t have time to post)

HEY!!! I`m <NAME REMOVED BY MODS> (that`s what I get for sending EMail from my work address. At least they didn`t post my phone numbers!). I was in the news and I missed it? Crap!!!

Yeah, Chris W, can`t thank you enough mate : it made writing the Encore website a darned sight easier than having to mention the old fashioned way of hacking Macrovision and possibly resulting in fried players (as Smiffy puts it so quaintly).
Once it emerged that this was happening (and mine NEARLY did - somehow got away with it) I did warn everyone NOT to do it.
And then Chris W came along with the most fantastic Christmas present of all - total hats off to you mate !
