Page 1 of needed goodmans gtv34rdvd combi hack

Have just purchased a goodmans combi and desperately seeking the regions code to unlock would someone out there please help me.

Follow this code it is for the model below the GTV34RDVD but it does work :-)

1. Put into DVD screen mode.
2. Press the DVD setup key and have this set on-screen
3. use remote to key in 1369, then immediately press the left navigate arrow 3 times, followed by the right key once. (this takes some practice, so don`t stand too close to the TV).
4. Now you will see a new option on-screen named VERSION.
5. Enter into VERSION and select region code as required (which means the code free option (0)).

at last a hack that works.Eureka

This hack does work, but you have to key in the numbers and arrow buttons carefully. First, don`t stand too close to the TV. Make sure you are in the DVD mode with the TV. Also be sure you have then pressed the DVD SETUP button and have this setup menu on screen before you start to type in the 1369 etc. It takes a bit of practice. I know, I had to try a few times. If you cannot do it, ask a friend. This hack allows you to also watch zone 1 RCE DVD`s. I have two of these combi`s, though mine are badged as Roadstar`s, in the UK/Ireland they are known as Goodmans/Bush.
