Ok, I read all the messages about the LG DVD-3200e and the region hack. Unfortunately I have firmware 1.0 so I can`t use the remote hack. Is there any way that I can get my player upgraded? How could I go about this? What would I do and say? Please help!

I too seem to have been blessed with firmware 1.0, I`m going to contact LG direct and see if there is anychance of a firmware upgrade then I can see if this hack works for sure !
I`ll post something in this thread if I am sucessful.

If you can talk to the rep and get a firmware upgrade then there will be no question that you are the MAN !!

I sent LG an email:
I`ve got an LG DVD-3200E which I bought soon after it came out. It turns out that it is firmware 1.0 which is not the newest version out for the 3200E. Would it be possible to get a software upgrade? Thanks.
This is the reply I got:
Thank you for your e-mail. LG Electronics do not produce `firmware` versions numbered in the way indicated in your e-mail however we do have a process by which the firmware may be modified if you experience difficulty with a particular title. Should you experience difficulties with a particular DVD title please contact us and we can make the necessary arrangements to modify your players firmware or test the DVD title as appropriate.
Should I give up hope?

No, try and find a title that will not work on your player and email them back. I think I heard a rumor that the 3200E had a problem with Disney`s Tarzan, I could be mistaken though.
