HELP MULTI REGION

1) To change the region :
Open the tray Press Setup Press x1111, where x is the region you want. x=9 makes it region free Press Pause, Shuffle, Next
2) To verify the region has changed :
Open the tray Press Setup Press Shuffle, Pause, Next Scroll down to the "Debug" item on the menu, the current region will be indicated by an arrow.

Hi My first time on this forum, but have been looking for this hack since I bought this player early January. I got the Marantz 4300 from Sevenoaks they made it multi-region for me but would not give me the hack. Been having some problems wth region 1films in progresive scan thought I might try it set to R-1 instead of all region, see if that helps. Is this hack safe cos I would not like to be stuck in R-2 with 30% of my DVDs R-1. Thanks for the hack.
