the firmware version i have is 2514 not 2510 as used in the review... anyone know how to disable macrovision on this as there is no facility in the menu (I have scrolled to the bottom of the list)

yes i now i have the same problem as you the region code doesn´t work and there isn´t a macrovision bypass code. You go to the region debug menu, but it doesn´t save in region 9 and goes over back to region 2 . :(
P.S if you go it please foward me the working region code. i will do the same :)

I assume you had sucess in turning region free your DVD player. So if you please, help me with my EMERSON 2100. I followed the instructions posted by jrbt (2000/12/29 ?): MultiReg: OPEN-SETUP-9-5-0-1-0-STEP-SHUFFLE-NEXT, etc... I was not able to open any "hidden" menu. With OPEN, the tray opened, with SETUP, regular setup menu opened, with the rest of the instruction nothing changed. I do not know the firmware version, but I bought the player in 2001/02/10 (in Portugal). So it is recent. Can you or some one give me some tips? Thank you all in advance !
