GOODMANS 3000 REGION HACK

cliff (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 23rd December 2000, 00:00

I`ve had this player for about three weeks now and i`ve been trying like mad to hack it, and i finally did it.And it`s so simple what you have to do is power on the player and key in the following code 314 159 you should now see region code 2 displayed in the top left of the screen.Keep pressing the"0" button and "exit" button together until the region code is set to "ALL".It also works with the "0" button and buttons 1--6 for each region.

How easy is that!
Good luck
Cliff.

The Oritron players (Matsui 110/Goodmans 3000) don`t do any NTSC to PAL conversion at all. NTSC discs are output in pure NTSC. That means your TV will either have to be multi-standard, or accept RGB signals through the SCART socket. Most newer TVs will accept RGB. If your TV can only accept composite video and is not multi-standard, all NTSC discs will be in B&W. Make sure you are using a SCART cable with all pins connected, not just the composite and 2 audio. Check your TV manual to make sure it can accept RGB.
