Page 1 of No success with Toshiba 220 hack...

I downloaded the files from http://sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr and followed the instructions, copying the two extracted files onto a CDR and also CDRW with Nero 5.5. I used `Disk at once` setting, and set the DVD menu as instructed.

When I put the disk in the DVD I just get `disk error` or similar. The DVD is not made multiregion. Can anyone who has done this successfully tell me what you saw onscreen? And perhaps the Nero settings you used? Thanks Nick

Ok, I fixed this myself for anyone that is interested. The disk worked but fooled me by just saying disk error. By leaving it in there for 10-15 seconds, then ejecting & restarting as per the instructions the DVD was made multiregion. Thanks very much http://sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr !

...thanks for posting that this hack works. I have pointed a number of people in the http://sd220e.chez.tiscali.fr direction & have had no feedback....maybe should add deep breath count to 10....(twice!).....& it works

i have enormous problems with this hack: 1) are the two files bin/cue the only ones that need to be on the cd?
2) which format (VCD/SVCD/etc?)do i have to use to burn the data on?
3) does it matter if I use winoncd to burn the data instead of nero?

Do a search for a program called `CD Mate` version 2.5 or newer. This is a really nice package that handles bin/cue (binary and cue file) combinations - easily.

you are burning the cd wrong,email me for correct procedure,you only use one file for starters (.cue)
sounds like you are just copying the file to disk.
